A hydraulic hose conveys hydraulic fluid to or between hydraulic components. Components include valves, tools, and actuators. Hydraulic hose is usually flexible and reinforced. Hose is often made up of several layers of reinforcement. This is necessary because hydraulic systems operate at high pressures. Hydraulic hoses are used anywhere in a hydraulic system requiring a flexible connection between two fluid ports. Hoses are divided into two categories, based on their use: suction hose, and delivery hose.
Reinforced rubber. A reinforced rubber hose weighs much less than its metal counterparts.
Steel reinforced Teflon. Sometimes steel can be too cumbersome by itself.
Corrugated and articulated.
